These days, the sun sets a little sooner and the seasons are shifting, which can only mean one thing—The Nutcracker is almost here! The Company at Berks Ballet Theatre (BBT) has been working hard to dream up new choreography, create dazzling scenery and rehearse a recently cast corps of dancers who are ready to hit the stage.

Since returning to performing live in 2021 (a year following a virtual performance), audiences cannot get enough of the show that, for many, is a tradition and gets the entire region in the holiday spirit! This year, the show will take place at the Schaeffer Auditorium in Kutztown, Pa. The decision was made to move The Nutcracker to the performing arts theater on Kutztown University campus following a devastating fire at The Scottish Rite Cathedral in West Reading. The show must go on and Berks Ballet Theatre is grateful to Kutztown University for welcoming us.

New this year, theatergoers will have an extra show to see with an extra Sunday evening show happening at 5:00pm December 18th! Check out the trailer for this year’s production of The Nutcracker and check back for tickets on sale Saturday, October 15.
