How to Watch ‘The Nutcracker Suite’ on the Big Screen

“The Nutcracker Suite” premieres at 7:00pm EST on Saturday, December 19th! Much hard work and passion has gone into Berks Ballet Theatre’s first-ever virtual production, from behind the scenes to the stage.

We want to make sure the experience of watching from home is as smooth as possible. Below are a few ways you can stream the production by casting from your computer, mobile device or tablet to your Smart TV.

From Android or iPhone

Android and iPhone users: you can cast directly to your Smart TV by making sure your device is previously connected to the TV and that both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Click on the video link (emailed to the ticket purchaser on 12/19 in the afternoon) then tap the Cast/Mirror icon (see image).

Apple iOS Device via Apple TV

Apple iOS (iPhone, Mac, iPad) users can stream the video via Apple TV: just make sure your iPhone and Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi network—otherwise they won’t see each other.

  1. Open Control Center (Mac, iPhone/iPad)
  2. Tap the Screen Mirroring button. Depending on your device, model your button may look like one or two of these icons (see image)
  3. Select your Apple TV from the list that appears
  4. If an AirPlay passcode appears on your TV, enter the code on your iOS device
  5. Navigate to the video link emailed to the ticket purchaser on 12/19 in the afternoon
  6. If you want to stop mirroring, open Control Center. Then, under Screen Mirroring, tap Stop Mirroring

Google Chromecast

  1. Are you’re using an apple device and Chromecast? Make sure your computer and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network
  2. Make sure your Chromecast is Plugged into the HDMI port on your TV
  3. If you haven’t already done so, Install and open the Chromecast-supported app on your Laptop (using Google Chrome browser), iPhone, iPad or Android Device
  4. Navigate to the video link emailed to the ticket purchaser on 12/19 in the afternoon
  5. Tap the Cast button. (It’s a rounded rectangle with a Wi-Fi symbol in the bottom left corner, see image). Select “Chromecast” from the list of available devices to cast to TV.
