New Arrival at BBTCD: Welcome, Egan Carrol!

We’re absolutely thrilled to share the news that Egan Carroll has joined us at Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance (BBTCD). Not just a new member, Egan has taken on the dual role of Conservatory Manager and Faculty member. Let’s give her a hearty welcome and embrace the incredible talent she brings to our family!

Whether in the office or on the dance floor, Egan’s passion for and expertise in dance will be felt throughout BBTCD. She has an impressive history in dance education and performance, which we can’t wait to see her share with our community.

Born to move, Egan Carroll began her formal dance education when she was just eight years old, her initial training and performances taking place at the distinguished Logrea Dance Academy and Westchester Ballet Company, both in Ossining, NY. Her natural talent was evident early on, with her standing out among the top twelve at the acclaimed Youth American Grand Prix at the age of fourteen.

At fifteen, Egan leapt at the chance to refine her skills further, accepting a scholarship at the world-famous Kirov Academy of Ballet. After a year of intense training, she returned to the Big Apple, fine-tuning her craft under the expert guidance of Sara Knight, all while performing with the Westchester Ballet Company.

Throughout her career, Egan’s dance card has been filled with an array of character roles, from the Dew Drop Fairy and Chocolate from Spain in “The Nutcracker”, to Dawn in “Coppélia”, and from a soloist role in “La Bayadère” to the Spanish Bride in “Swan Lake”. And that’s not to mention her performances with the Rebecca Rice Dance Co.

In between her regular training and performance schedules, Egan has devoted her summers to intense training programs at prestigious institutions such as the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) in New York, SLK Ballet, Ellison Ballet, Ballet Academy East, Kirov Academy of Ballet, and Tulsa Ballet.

Academically, Egan furthered her studies at Fordham University and is a proud graduate of Montclair State University. Post-graduation, she dedicated herself to nurturing the upcoming generation of dancers, providing coaching in New York and New Jersey for various dance competitions, as well as mentoring students for collegiate dance programs.

Now, Egan is excited to bring her wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to BBTCD, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board. We look forward to seeing her shine in her new roles! Welcome to the family, Egan!
