Press: “Change is good for Berks Ballet Theatre’s ‘Nutcracker'”

READING — Berks Ballet Theatre’s annual “Nutcracker,” with the Reading Pops Orchestra, will boast new staging and choreography by artistic director Kelly Barber and resident choreographer/ballet master Nathan Bland, and many new and refurbished costumes by Natalie Kimmel and Michelle Obst.

The ballet, a beloved holiday tradition presented by BBT since 1976, will be performed Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 and 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. in the Scottish Rite Cathedral in West Reading. Starring in the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier will be guest artists Ingrid Silva and Dylan Santos of Dance Theatre of Harlem.
