Attend this new, exciting day camp where you’ll experience the best the arts has to offer in Berks County! You’ll hone your skills and have tons of fun in the process.
This week-long camp is a collaborative initiative brought to you by GoggleWorks, Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance, Community Music School, and Berks Youth Chorus.
- Cost: $300.00 (early bird price: $275.00 before April 30). Only an added $50 for 8:30 am drop off and/or 4:30 pm pick up
- Ages: 7 – 11
- Location: All classes held in the Goggleworks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St, Reading, PA
- You are required to bring your own lunch and snack.
Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance: With Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance you will be exploring the fundamentals of dance — you will be learning the foundations of ballet, jazz and modern dance. We will be working on coordination, musicality and learning how to connect the steps you learn into choreography.
Berks Youth Chorus: Students will discover their voice and make it better! They will sing fun songs in groups while training their voices and learning to sight-sing. Camp week ends with a performance of the songs they have learned.
GoggleWorks: Students will learn glass fusing techniques, design, and color relationships as they create multiple projects in our Warm Glass Studio. (The finished pieces will be fired and available for pick up after camp ends)
Community Music School: Students will learn to play the Flutophone and to read simple music notes and rhythms. They will also learn to perform several songs as an ensemble, which will be featured in the end-of-week showcase performance. After the showcase, students keep their Flutophones to take home and play for family and friends.
