We are always striving to offer our dancers more opportunities to perform and grow. This year we had the opportunity to attend the American Dance Competition/International Ballet Competition (ADC/IBC) regionals in Pittsburgh. We took four dancers from Pre-Professional 3.

The weekend was filled with an adjudicated ballet class at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre along with performances at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. Each dancer performed at least one classical variation, along with a contemporary solo.

Competitions like ADC/IBC provide opportunities for dancers to step outside of their comfort zones along with scholarship and employment opportunities!

Ellie Folga placed in the top 15 in Senior Classical and Contemporary and Lorelei Obst placed in the top 15 in Senior Contemporary!

Ellie also received a scholarship to Ballet Met along with an offer for a Trainee Position for the 2022/2023 season!

Both dancers were invited to the Finals in March in St. Petersburg, Florida. We are beyond proud and excited for the next chapter!
